Snowflake Place hosted an information session provided by the Manitoba government on new legislation to better protect children.
On February 13, 2015, Snowflake Place was honoured to have Federal Minister of Justice, Peter MacKay visit our office to announce more than $240,000 in funding for enhancements to the services offered by Snowflake Place.
In December, 2014, two Child Forensic Interview Specialists were hired at Snowflake Place.
Snowflake Place, Manitoba’s first child advocacy centre opened its doors on January 23, 2013. “This centre will play an imperative role in making sure that young victims and their families have access to essential service programs and services in order to mitigate further victimization”.
