Snowflake Place Endorses Joint Statement on Physical Punishment

The Joint Statement on Physical Punishment of Children and Youth provides an extensive review of research on physical punishment. Its recommendations have been endorsed by hundreds of professional organizations across Canada. These recommendations call for public awareness strategies to inform Canadians about the risks associated with physical punishment, universal education and support for parents and other caregivers, and full legal protection for children and youth.
