Snowflake Place Crowned 1st Runner Up in Fast Pitch 2018

Snowflake Place is honored to have had the privilege of participating in the 2018 Fast Pitch Winnipeg through The Winnipeg Foundation.  We are delighted to have received the 1st runner up award and would like to express a warm hearted thank you to The Winnipeg Foundation and their wonderful staff for this opportunity.  And to Snowflake Place’s Fast Pitch coaches, Debbie Ristimaki and Michael Silicz (pictured alongside Snowflake Place Executive Director, Cheryl Martinez), we are grateful for your invaluable guidance and support throughout this process.  A special thank you to the Semi-final Judges: Richard Cloutier, Joanne Kelly, and Kathleen Martens, and to the Showcase Judges: David Asper, Johanna Hurme, and Justice Deborah McCawley.  Thank you to Ismaila Afa (CBC Manitoba) for emceeing the event and keeping it fun.  Congratulations to grand prize winner Candace House, and to second runner up, Islamic Social Services Association Inc. and finally to the People’s Choice Award winner, North End Women’s Centre.  It was a pleasure getting to know all of the talented participants, and learning about the non profit organizations in Winnipeg.
